Project Overview
Data Can Be Beautiful is a user-centered website focused on design education and data visualization that I developed during my time at SAS. The primary goal of this project was to create a platform that helps data analysts enhance their understanding of visual perception and its crucial role in data consumption. The website is designed to impart knowledge about various aspects of data visualization, including color usage, data filtering, and other analytical concepts, all while fostering a user-friendly experience. Created with a team of designers, writers, and data scientists. Developed and styled by me.

Dynamic product screenshots are strategically integrated throughout the site to provide users with experience in applying visual design principles to their SAS software. These screenshots allow users to experiment with data filtering techniques and observe the immediate impact on data representation.
Visual Perception Insights
Data Can Be Beautiful emphasizes the significance of visual perception through concise and informative content. The website provides insights into how the human brain processes visual information, guiding users to create visualizations that resonate with their audience.
Illustrations
Dynamic lllustrations were made to accompany the content for the site. These illustrations were created by me and were designed to communicate the SAS brand.
Reflection
Despite facing bureaucratic obstacles that prevented us from obtaining analytics, we decided to incorporate a feedback loop into the site, and the results were genuinely heartwarming. Receiving numerous emails from data scientists expressing their genuine appreciation for the content and how it significantly improved their workflow was incredibly fulfilling. These messages served as a testament to the impact of our work and reaffirmed our commitment to providing valuable resources to the developer community. This project not only highlighted the importance of perseverance but also underscored the profound influence of user feedback in shaping a meaningful and impactful product.
